Welcome to my website. You are probably here because you are struggling in your life and needing support. The decision to start therapy takes courage, and the process of choosing a therapist can be daunting. Please peruse my site and let me know if you have any questions.
I am a licensed psychotherapist with a private practice in North Seattle. I offer skillful and effective therapy with a style that is curious, respectful, collaborative, warm and down to earth. Clients come to see me with a variety of concerns, some of the most common include:
- anxiety, panic attacks
- feelings of depression
- lack of motivation, lack of direction or purpose
- difficulty establishing or maintaining intimate relationships
- history of childhood abuse or trauma
- feelings of loneliness or a lack of support system
- feelings of low self-esteem or self-worth
- life transitions, entering the 20’s, 30’s or 40’s
I love my work because it is very rewarding. It is a great honor to both witness and guide my clients as they struggle through unresolved emotional pain, then heal and transform. I am continually touched, moved and amazed by my clients’ resilience, creativity and integrity in the face of great suffering. I just can’t imagine more fulfilling work. I encourage you to call and schedule an appointment to determine if we are a good match!
In an age where our society is quick to medicate irritating symptoms, I view them as messages from the unconscious that need to be given a voice. They are pointing toward a part of the soul that needs attention. In fact, the term “psychotherapy” means “attending the soul” in Greek. I feel that voice can only emerge in a relationship that is marked by honesty, respect and unconditional acceptance.
